Lisa Ingall, MSPM, PMP
z/OS Release Manager, Certified Executive Project Manager, IBM Corporation

Lisa Ingall is a senior-level, Certified Executive Project Manager at IBM Corporation, where she has been employed for eleven years. She is currently fulfilling the role of z/OS Release Manager, focusing on the delivery of the next release of IBM's industry-leading, highly secure, high-performance enterprise (mainframe) operating system.. She has been with IBM for eleven years, in product development engineering, project management, and program management positions.

Ms. Ingall started her career with IBM in San Jose, California, as a process engineer in the thin film head area of the hard disk drive development organization. While in this position, she led development experiments and new product introduction projects in the thin-film head manufacturing line. In 2000, her growing interest in project management led to a new position at IBM, as a software development project manager in the z/OS organization. Since then, Ms. Ingall has managed numerous product releases, each one growing in size and complexity. In 2008, she became the Program Manager for the z/OS Storage Software portfolio of products, providing project management planning and execution oversight for up to twenty ongoing projects in the portfolio, while guiding and mentoring the project managers in her organization. In April 2009, she accepted the position of release manager for a future z/OS release, a three-year, $100M+ product development, test, and launch effort, involving well over 1000 team members.

Ms. Ingall is also active in the IBM project management community. She is an enthusiastic mentor of junior project managers within her organization, helping them navigate the project management profession and IBM's certification requirements. She also serves on the Project Management CertificatioN Practice Board, reviewing certification packages and participating in mock interviews for certification candidates. Finally, she also participates on the IBM Project Management Center of Excellence's PMP exam prep curriculum task force.

Ms. Ingall is a 2007 graduate of the GWU MSPM program and a 1998 graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a Bachelor's of Science and Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering (summa cum laude). She enjoys ice hockey, traveling, and spending time with her husband, neighbors, and friends at their home in Silver spring, Maryland.
